Museum publications

The Lenin museum publishes mainly exhibition catalogues. The catalogue for the permanent exhibition is available in the following languages: Finnish, Swedish, English, German, Russian, French, Esperanto and Arabic.

Several catalogues from past special exhibitions are available:

• The Rouble. ( An exhibition of the Russian and Soviet banknotes and their substitutes from 1917-47. The exhibits were drawn from the private collections of Pentti Laurila.)
• Rehabilitated Photographs. (An interesting exhibition of falsified and retouched photographs from the Soviet era. In collaboration with a Russian company Romuz. The catalogue includes English texts.)
• Kimmo Sarje: The Longing for Avant-garde. ( A miniopera.)
• Muscovite Street Art from the Age of Perestroika. ( Drawn from the private collection of Pekka Lehtonen.)
• Dietrich Maus: The Disappearance of the icon. Lenin. (Das Verschwinden der Ikone. Lenin.)

In addition to these catalogues the museum has published in Finnish the book Muistelmia Leninistä - Reminiscing Lenin by Clara Zetkin.

Other organizations, such as the Department of History of the University of Tampere and the Association for Research of History and Tradition of the Working Class, have published the background material of several conferences organized by the Lenin museum.
